That Mom Of Four

Last Friday morning my dear friend Yiling flew over from Spain where she's working at Zara headquarters to visit. Finally lor! haha....... We sent her off to the airport this evening after taking her to St Emillion for some sightseeing. I really think I ought to consider a second career as a tour guide in France manz....... wah hahaha.

When people ask me how I'm coping looking after 2 babies alone in France I usually tell them i'm having an easy time cos Nyx is really easy to look after.  And she even helps me look after Nya, seriously.  She helps me get diapers and butt wipes for Nya and herself and throws away the soiled ones in the bin.  She helps me with laundry by putting in and taking the clothes out of the washer and dryer, putting her toys back into the box after she's done playing, turns on the tele and the dvd player by herself to watch her videos and switches it off by herself after tt (needs reminding though).  When Nya's pacifier drops she puts it back into her baby sister's mouth and even helps me hold the milk bottle for Nya sometimes.  Even when the handkerchief or blanket gets pushed out of place by Nya, Nyx will help me tuck it back nicely.  In return for all this help, I only need to shower Nyx with tonnes of praise and affection.  Pretty good deal ain't it? *wink*

Nya's "trying to poop" face Nya's "just done pooping" face We drove to Paris this weekend and stayed over so we could bring Grandma Angie (a.k.a. Ah Ma) around  to sightsee and do some shopping around this city.  The weather wasn't too great though. With all that rain we didn't spend as much time as intended at the Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees.  Both Nyx and Nya were so coorperative during this trip and despite having to take the Metro and walk around so often, it was really a breeze bringing the two girls around town.   Even during the drive to and fro to Paris, both of them slept of most of the time.  Check them out, sleep also must hold hands. Hahaha!

Aiyoh! I thought Nyx's voice was already one of the loudest I've heard amongst babies.  Who would've thought her baby sister would be more of a loudhailer!  This week, Nya turned 5 weeks old and her weight is increasing so fast.  She's already 5kg heavy.

Check out this outfit Nyx is wearing, looks alot like a school uniform, haha.  She's still too young to attend school or playgroup now though, only 20mths old(1 yr 8 months).

Yesterday and the day, our time was largely spent in the car as we made our way to Lourdes, Saint Emillion and Bordeaux Centre Ville for some sight seeing and shopping before my mother in law goes back to Singapore this weekend.  These two videos were taken in the car when we were driving for over 3 hours to get to Lourdes. Usually Nyx is even more talkative than shown in these 2 videos. Here you see her slightly "sedated" cos she's really super duper sleepy but just refuses to give in to Morphius, Sandman, whatever you call him......... She utterly hates him. haha!

Next week my mum in law will be flying back to Singapore so yesterday we took her to St Emillion for a short day trip and last minute shopping in Bordeaux.  Today we're headed to Lourdes, again.  

As soon as Nya is able to learn, I shall teach her the art of making monkey faces. See how well Nyx does it now. hahaha!

In 4 days time Nya will turn one month old.  We had intended to celebrate this occassion this coming weekend instead of yesterday but apparently its taboo to celebrate after the actual date so at the last minute (actually 2 days prior) we had to inform Guojun's collegues from the Airforce that we were holding a small party on Sunday.  

Yes we've started giving Nya the tutu and she absolutely loves it. It helps put her to sleep very fast.  Thank goodness Nyx doesn't snatch it from her.  We took Nyx off the tutu habit on the 29th of March, cold turkey method.  I was worried she would snack the pacififier from Nya once we started giving it to her, lucky thing she's not a meanie........ haha.

Alot of people keep telling me Nya looks like a boy so here's an attempt at making her look abit more ladylike.
