It's been an activity-filled week with us going to yet another carnival in Gujan Mestras,
which is the town we live in.  This time the carnival is set up along the lake of Magdeleine, 
and compared to the one we went to in La Teste last Saturday, this one in Gujan is definitely packed with more interesting rides and activities.  There was even a large tent set up for
Karaoke.  Several groups of people were also playing Petanque on the fairgrounds.  I learnt to play it during my school days and seeing these people playing the sport today brought back memories.  One of my goals today in visiting this carnival was to try and catch a Gary the snail for Nyx, but alas....... we didn't spot a single one of this elusive snail in any of the UFO grabber machines.  Instead, we found a lone GIANT Gary the snail soft toy behind one of the game stalls.  No we didn't win it....... In order to win it we'd have to score an obscene amount of points and spent quite alot of time trying.  So I guess I'll just continue looking high and low for this purple mollusk someplace else.
